- Catherine... isn't that good. I admire what they're trying to do, but they tried really hard to make the game "different" and forgot to make it "good". I'm not terribly far in it (I think around the fifth or sixth night), but I'm finding it harder and harder to play the game. The gameplay is pretty terrible, but I could forgive it if the story was relatively better. So far, it's not. There are no characters here, the closest you get is Vincent (the protagonist), and really all he does is stammer and sweat while hardly reacting to being told he has a child. The two Catherines are caricatures and nothing more. Maybe that was the point and it's strictly meant to be a surreal affair (pun not intended, but hilarious none-the-less), but to go from Persona 4 to this seems like a giant step backward.
- Sonic Generations is fun... but not incredible. I guess that's all you can really expect. I find myself really wishing they re-did more than ONE stage from each game, since nostalgia is the major - MAJOR - draw here.
- Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is not really worth talking about.
- Batman: Arkham City was good... but I already got the latest Assassin's Creed game. I didn't really need Batman thrown into it.
- Speaking of Revelations, so far it seems exactly like Brotherhood. The only differences I can find is that Ezio has a fuller beard, and there's no "The Truth" puzzles hidden around, which is something I really liked in previous games. I still have fun running around the city and assing people, but it has about as much innovation and quality that you'd expect an annual game series to have.
- Star Wars: The Old Republic is good, and that surprised the ever loving shit out of me. The combat is WoW, the classes are WoW, and the graphics and animation are honestly pretty bad, but the presentation makes up for a lot of its problems. Just the simple fact that it's all voice acted is enough to get me to play it. It's still very much an MMO, and aside from instances (flashpoints and they're called here) and your class quest the dialogue is little more than someone reading quests text to you. It's still something different than any other MMO has done, however, and for that I applaud it.
- I have had Skyward Sword for two weeks now and I have yet to play it because of "doing other shit". I must remedy this. However, I just remembered you need a Wii Motion Plus two days ago, which I must now wait for to be delivered. I must also find my Wii and kill whatever creatures have infested it.
- I will write up something about my DnD campaign soon, it's just we haven't had a lot of time to play what with the holidays and work and sheet.
